Cape May Film Society Host Friday Night Summer Film Series at the Chalfonte Hotel (301 Howard Street, Cape May) 7:30pm July-August 2012

The Cape May Film Society will host a summer film series on Friday nights at 7:30 p.m. at the Chalfonte

Hotel (301 Howard Street, Cape May), screening the following films:

July 20: “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” an animated classic nominated for two Oscars starring George Clooney,
Meryl Streep, and Bill Murray (from the creator of this summer’s hit film, “Moonrise Kingdom”)

July 27: “The Gold Rush” the 1942 Charlie Chaplin classic (and one of his personal favorites!)

August 3: “Roxie Hart” starring Ginger Rogers as the woman who inspired the hit movie
musical “Chicago”!

“These are forgotten films,” says Jeff Giordano, award-winning independent filmmaker who is hosting
the series. “Yet these three works are examples of great storytelling and filmmaking that are fun to
watch and discuss.” Giordano will present short independent films preceding these features films. His
films have appeared in film festivals around the world (and at the Cape May Film Festival).

ALSO: On Sunday, August 5, the Film Society will screen the classic silent film “The Mark of Zorro” with
live organ accompanist Wayne Zimmerman, an event presented with the East Lynne Theater Company
at First Presbyterian Church at 500 Hughes Street in Cape May.
