The Tropicana kicks off a new baseball season with a free, property-wide, Philly-style block party on Friday, April 3 2009

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (February 27, 2009) – Philadelphia is not only the City of Brotherly Love and birthplace of our nation…it’s the City of Blowout Block Parties and home to baseball’s world champions! To celebrate the upcoming baseball season, the Tropicana Casino and Resort is going Phanatic and bringing the classic Philly block party off the city streets and into its world-class resort with this FREE, property-wide celebration on Friday, April 3 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Philly personalities will be in full force at the Philly Block Party, including Swoop and Philadelphia Cheerleaders, among others. And it just wouldn’t be a true Philly celebration without the renowned Fralenger’s String Band to keep the atmosphere lively and Jerry Blavat (the Geator with the Heator, the Boss with the Hot Sauce) spinning your favorite golden oldies live in The Quarter. Professional tarot card reader, Marilyn Sukonick-Zeff, and her company of accomplished psychics will also be offering guests a glimpse into their future.
