HISTORIC LONG BRANCH ROCK CLUB PRESENTS NATIONAL ROADHOUSE BLUES

Grab your hats blues fans. Here comes “The Duke”.

On Thursday, June 12th, The Brighton Bar presents the Duke Robillard Band. Robillard has been thrilling audiences with his masterful guitar playing world-wide for four decades, since founding Roomful of Blues in the sixties at the age of 17. He is one of the most celebrated guitarists of the genre, having won four Blues Music Awards (formerly W.C. Handy Awards) in the category of Best Blues Guitarist, plus a Grammy nomination for his 2006 release, Guitar Groove-A-Rama. There are dozens of albums to Robillard’s credit, in addition to those recorded with Bob Dylan, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Kim Wilson, The Blind Boys of Alabama and more.

The concert will take place at The Brighton Bar in Long Branch, located at 121 Brighton Ave . It’s an early show, beginning at 8 P.M. sharp. Tickets are $15 per person. Ages 18 and up to enter and 21 to drink.

After a widely successful blues event in April with legendary bluesman Hubert Sumlin, The Brighton is exploring the genre with this second show of a “Roadhouse Series” appealing to the Jersey Shore blues audience. For further information on Duke Robillard visit dukerobillard.com
