Danny Federici – Keyboard Player for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band Dies at 58

Danny FedericiShore native and music personality Danny Federici, the longtime keyboard player for Bruce Springsteen, has passed away at 58. He had been suffering from skin cancer for the past three years. His work helped define the E Street sound. He passed away April 17, 2008 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City after a three year battle with melanoma.

The Federici family and the E Street family request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Danny Federici Melanoma Fund. A web site for the Fund is being established.
