2 Beautiful Leprechauns (Angi Scairato & Lauren)
Experience The Shore attended the 1st “Running of the Leprechauns” @ The Tropicana. The event was hosted at the Tropicana Casino and sponsored by 102.7 WJSE with on air DJ’s JoJo and Scotty MC’ing the race. Participants came from as far away as New York City, Philadelphia, and Brick / Point Pleasent , NJ. The event was a rousing success with almost 300 paid attendees. Ryan Van Layes one of the producers of the show was surprised at the turn out noting that they had 100 pre-registered and the rest were walk up’s. Laeys together with Matt McDremott also organize the very famous (infamous) “Running of the Santa’s” in Philadelphia. A great time was had by all.
As one young lady put it when asked “why are you here?”, “It’s a great cause and I’m Irish, where else would I be!” That sums the evening up in our books.
A portion of the proceeds from The Running of the Leprechauns will benefit Ellie Koerner Leukemia Foundation and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
